It's Good To Be The King:
The Donnie Vie Interview

Ex-Enuff Z'Nuff star Donnie Vie discusses his "Favorite Things," his Beautiful Things, and Chip.

When I spoke with Donnie Vie on July 28, 2020 I spoke to a man on a mission. The clear-voiced and confident singer/songwriter spent more than an hour talking about his entire career in music, which spans more than three decades. He spoke about his conflict with former bandmate and friend Chip Z'Nuff, he talked about his latest single "All My Favorite Things," and he talked about everything in between.

Donnie Vie is one of the most personable and comfortable people I've ever spoken with. Growing up on the North Side of Chicago, I had a chance to see Donnie and Enuff Z'Nuff play the local club scene almost any night of the week. Fans of the band all knew how lucky they were to be a part of those developmental years. We considered it a gift to call them our own.

Watching the struggles that the band has endured over the years has always been difficult. They always deserved much more than they got. So, hearing Donnie Vie on this day was something that really made me smile. After all the tragedy, heartbreak, and loss, Vie can still smile and take his throne as the King Of Power Pop.
