Bare Bones - T. Graham Brown

By Kevin Mikol

Singer/Songwriter T. Graham Brown released a new album on October 9th, 2020 called “Bare Bones” on the Time Life record label.  The reason this album is named as such, is that it is basically a newly recorded acoustic greatest hits collection that spans his 35+ year career as a Country music recording artist.  This is the first acoustic album that T. Graham Brown has recorded.  “Bare Bones” was co-produced by T. Graham Brown and country music producer/songwriter Buddy Hyatt, known for his work with Randy Travis, Lee Greenwood, Mickey Gilley and many other Country music greats.
Included on “Bare Bones” are redesigned acoustic versions of T. Graham Brown’s three #1 singles, “Darlene”, “Don’t Go To Strangers” and “Hell And High Water”.  Also featured is a new recording of “Wine Into Water”, a song he co-wrote that was featured on his Grammy Nominated album “Forever Changed”.  “Wine Into Water” has been recorded by over a hundred artists.  Six of the remaining songs on “Bare Bones” made it to the Top 10 of the Country singles chart, including “I Wish That I Could Hurt That Way Again”, “I Tell It Like It Used To Be” and “If You Could Only See Me Now”.

Long-time fans of T. Graham Brown will love to hear his unmistakable raspy vocals grace these new acoustic recordings, giving his classic hits a whole new feel.  With regards to this project, T. Graham has been quoted as saying “There is a special vibe that you feel when it’s just a vocal and guitar.”  It is such a gift to be able to hear such a stripped down recording, as it gives listeners the opportunity to focus more specifically on T. Graham’s unique gift of voice.
[In addition to “Bare Bones” (available on his website, tgrahambrown.com), Time Life has also digitally reissued five of his previous albums earlier this year, including “T. Graham Brown Lives!” a concert album which hasn’t been available for almost 20 years.]
